Air bag suspension systems are used to increase load capacity, control sway and for height control. If air bag systems are not designed properly, the result will inhibit the natural motion and function of the factory suspension. Our air bag kits are designed as over the axle under the frame systems for maximum performance. They work to enhance the factory suspension. We have designed ride height control into our product. With a maximum of 100 psi pressure, the systems will provide from 1/4" to 2" additional lift depending on the application and the pressure used. We have air bag kits available for all newer Class C Motorhomes built on the 2007 and newer Sprinter chassis. Our air bag relocation kit is designed specifically for the 04-06 Winnebago View and Itasca Navion owners. If you have the optional factory air bag suspension kit, you may want to consider the relocation kit. The factory installs the air bags on top of the rear spring packs and in front of the rear axle. This is not a natural place to mount suspension air bags. Air bags should be mounted directly above the axle to properly absorb and control body movement. When attached to the spring pack, the air bag and bracket restrict the natural movement of the springs. It alters the natural arching movement and transfers a second load on to the springs. Load on a spring pack should come from one source, the axle. The pictures below show the dramatic differences in design. The natural over the axle location is apparent. Our kit offers much more effective control of body sway and is a great addition to our other suspension products. We also have an Over Axle Air Bag Kit available for the Cab Chassis platform.
The air bag relocation kit installation is simple and easiest when performed in conjunction with the installation of our Spring Assist Kit. Only one additional hole each side (one hole on both sides of the frame rail) is needed for the install and several of the factory install components are reused. Many owners are experiencing rust and corrosion on the factory air bag spring bracket. Our mounting brackets are powder coated matte black for a durable finish. It is recommended that you run your air bag suspension with a minimum of 20 pounds pressure in each side. Maximum pressure is 70 pounds per side. Installation is about three hours.

What makes our air bag kit different?
Heavier mounting brackets mounted in a manner that won't shift or distort. The Firestone kits for the Sprinter will shift and rotate leading to distortion of the mounts and the need for additional brackets.
Air bags that are placed directly under the frame and over the axle unlike the Firestone kit that mounts inside the frame rails. Our method gives you the widest footprint possible that creates more stability.
