1.) Safely raise the rear end of your sprinter and properly support with a lift or stands to
allow the rear axle to settle. Remove the rear tires and proceed with assembly one side
at a time.
2.) Remove top and bottom factory bump stops as shown in (fig.1) using a prybar or large
set of multi grip plyers.
3.) Using a jack and stand to support the axle, remove the leaf spring U-bolts (fig.2) to
lower the axle.
4.) Without using any sealant, silicone, urethane, grease or oil assemble the bag kit as
shown (fig.3). be sure to tighten the bag bolts evenly there will be a very small gap
between top bracket and silver plate of airbag. Do not over tighten! The top bracket will
have the welded “goal post” support where the bottom bracket will have the welded
semicircle support, these two welded supports should be in line with one another and
will be located on the inside on the frame rail when installed.
5.) Slide the rectangle fastening plate into the groove where the top bump stop was
located. You may have to cut or grind away at the edges of the groove to allow the top
bracket and fastening plate to sit flush against each other (fig.4). With the fastening
plate in place lift the airbag assembly up and insert the included bolts and washers to
hold the top bag bracket to the fastening plate, leave snug while installing lower mount.
6.) Using included U-bolt, (4inch U-bolt for 3500 models. 3inch U-bolt for 2500 models)
fasten the lower bracket to the axle making sure the “V” and the semicircle supports are
centered to the axle.
7.) Note any space between top bracket and fastening plate as well as any bolts left loose
may result in shift and failure or airbag. Airbag should not touch or rub against any
part of the vehicle and should not be exposed to extreme heat from the exhaust. This
kit is intended to help vehicle stance and drive comfort when legally loaded. DO NOT
OVER LOAD YOUR VEHICLE!!
8.) Trial fit the bag assembly before tightening the bag bolts then remove, tighten airbag
bolts and proceed with final installation. This step is only necessary if you are having
issues mounting the airbags with tightened bolts.
9.) Now that your airbag is installed and tight it is time to re install the removed leaf spring
U-bolts tightening the nut to about 40ft lbs. As long as you have locking washers you
should not need any thread locking agent. Re-torqueing the leaf spring U-bolts is
recommended after about 500 miles of driving.
10.) Only cut air line with a sharp knife, razor blade, or pruning shears. Make sure your cut is
straight, angled cuts will not allow airline to seal inside the air fitting. Be sure to push
airline fully into air fitting on the top bracket, then pull on the air line to ensure the seal
has been made. The air fitting on the top bracket can swivel in any direction you need
just as long as the air hose does not become pinched.

11.) You can now lower the jack and axle. Move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat
procedures to install second air bag.
12.) Once both bags are installed find a location to mount the air fill valves, typically in the
rear of the vehicle. The location is ultimately up to you just be sure you have enough air
line to reach the fill location and that when running the lines from the airbags to the fill
mount you are avoiding sharp and potentially hot objects. We have included a “T” valve
to help with installation if needed. You can use said “T” to connect the two airbags
together for a single fill option or leave it out for filling one bag at a time. Secure all air
lines using included zip ties.
13.) With all components installed add air to the system, about 10psi and check for leaks. If
all components are sealed your airbag installation is complete.

3500 Specific Instructions:
If your 3500 Sprinter is stock you will find the bottom bump stop bolts to a pad under
the leaf spring. After removing the bump stop and leaf spring U-bolts you will need to turn said
pad 180 degrees before proceeding with step 4.
2500 Specific Instructions:
On 2500 models the bottom bump stop bolts to an “L” shaped bracket which is bolted
to the sway bar and axle strap. Remove this bolt and discard the “L” bracket, replace the bolt
and re-torque.
