What is this made of anyway?
It is made of a heavy-duty aluminum steel that is made to last.

Will this running board rust? I've had some trouble with other ones in the past.
No. The running board will not rust. It also is very resistant to corrosion as well. It should last you for a very long time.

Am I going to have to buy a bunch of stuff to install this on my vehicle?
Actually, no. You should have all the hardware you need in the kit save for what you would find in a normal toolkit that most people have in their possession already.

I can install this, right?
Sure. We recommend you have it professionally installed for maximum security and safety but it is possible to do so, yes.

What is this supposed to do anyway?
The running board actually makes it easier for you to exit and enter the vehicle. The secondary functions are actually the more interesting of the functions of a running board. They actually help protect your vehicle from debris that would normally fly up and scratch your vehicle. They also act as a doormat so that some of the dirt that could be tracked in from the outside world stays outside as well.

How many do I get when I order these?
Technically, the answer is that you get one of these kits but there are two in the kit. One for each side which should be enough for both sides your vehicle without needing to buy another.

Yes. The splash guards are already installed as a feature of this running board.
