What does the 260 mean?
The 260 refers to a length. You can get an awning for ranges between 260 and 450 cm.
I’ve seen that some of these can have led lights attached, is that true or am I hallucinating?
It is true. Fiamma says you can have LEDS attached to the awning for extra accents. Please keep in mind that the stock option of this product will probably not have the LED lights included.
I’ve damaged some of my older awnings by rolling my awning the wrong way. Is there some kind of system that makes sure that this is not a possibility?
Yes. Fiamma has developed a system that does not allow you to roll the awning the wrong way. If that was a problem for you in the past then it will not be one in the future with this awning.
Could you talk about how well this does in bad weather? I don’t intend to open it up if things are bad but it would be nice to know that I have some time to get stuff together if I get caught in a situation.
Fiamma says that this has a dual shock absorbers built in and it should be able to withstand some abuse. The shock absorber has a bracket that absorbs the possible damage. It protects your awning and the vehicle at the same time from damage. Of course, the system has limits but if you do find yourself in bad weather then you will buy yourself extra time in order to get your things together.
I heard there’s a double guide? What is that?
The double guide is located on the lead bar. The double guide gives you the ability to install two front panels on your awning.
What can you tell me about the arms of this awning? Are they going to be wimpy? I’ve had trouble in the past with how poorly the arms were designed on some of the awnings I owned. Do you have any information on this at all?
The arms include a double steel cable that keeps the tension of the arms constant. You should be pleasantly surprised with how sturdy they feel in relation to other awnings you have owned in the past.
