Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van Rear NOx Sensor 0009053603
This sensor fits all Mercedes Benz Sprinter Vans made after 2010, both the 3500 and 2500 versions.
What is a Nitrogen Oxide Sensor?
A Nitrogen Oxide Sensor is a sensor that detects the amount of Nox (nitrogen oxide) in the exhaust system.
Do I have to buy a separate sensor for the front and rear? Or is this product interchangeable?
You will have to buy a separate sensor for the front and rear. The front sensor only fits in the front of the exhaust system while the rear only fits in the rear.
And this is for the rear? Do you guys have a front NOx sensor in stock?
Yes, this listing is for the rear NOx sensor. Follow this link and you will find a front NOx sensor.
I’ve heard of this thing but don’t think there’s one of these in my daily driver which is a sedan. Why is that?
You only find NOx sensors in diesel-based vehicles. Other types of vehicles have Oxygen sensors instead of NOX sensors.
When is nitrous oxide produced in my vehicle?
It is created when your engine’s combustion chamber hits a temperature of over 2500 Fahrenheit. It also is much more present when the mix between fuel and oxygen is lean.
Not confirmed to fit 2019 models as of yet. We are currently researching what parts will fit the 2019 models of Sprinter vans.
