Add to CartMSRP: $3,399.95$3,100.00
Ford Transit Water Systems
Ford Transit water systems for camper builds: wheel well and undercarriage water tanks, sinks, showers, pumps and the fittings that tie them together. Tanks come in sizes from 16 to 36 gallons, with several made for the Transit by name.
Planning a Ford Transit Water System
Start with the tank. Its size and location decide where your sink, pump and shower can go. Then add the pump, the sink and, if you want one, a shower.
Water tanks
- Wheel well tanks: NWConversions and S&B tanks shaped to sit over a wheel well, from 20 to 36 gallons. They come in left, right, driver side, passenger side or centered versions, and one S&B 35 gallon tank fits both sides. NWConversions also makes a 24 gallon tank listed for the Transit and a 25 gallon dually tank.
- Undercarriage tanks: NWConversions Ford Transit 16 and 20 gallon undercarriage tanks and the Tec Vanlife Transit undermount stainless steel 22 gallon tank keep water out of the living space.
Many wheel well tanks don't name a van in the title, so read the fitment notes and measure your wheel well before you order.
Sinks and pumps
The Tec Vanlife space-saving sink in black stainless steel with a hideaway faucet is the best seller in this category. Tec Vanlife also makes the 12V diaphragm water pump (3.5 GPM), a tank level sensor and gauge combo, a 3 1/2 inch low-profile drain and a replacement tap mixer. Add a Vanspeed city water fill inlet to fill from a hose.
Showers
Indoor options include the Amazing Auto collapsing aluminum shower room, the Tetravan Folding Shower 2.1 with magnetic curtain and the Van Wife Components 30" shower. For outdoor rinsing, there's the Tetravan stainless steel shower port system, the Van Essential Venture Clean Shower Set and a Van Essential rear door shower and privacy screen. Tec Vanlife and Tetravan make shower curtains.
Leave room for plumbing when you plan Ford Transit cabinets.
FAQs
Which water tank fits my Transit?
Undercarriage tanks with "Ford Transit" in the name are made for it. For wheel well tanks, measure the wheel well and check the fitment notes, since side and shape vary. Contact us with your year and VIN if you want us to confirm.
Do I need a water pump?
For a faucet or shower with pressure, yes. A 12V pump draws from the tank and runs off your van's house battery.
Do you carry water systems for other vans?
Yes. See Sprinter van water systems and Ram ProMaster water systems.
