Sprinter Van Battery Systems
Sprinter van battery systems and the parts that charge and run them: Renogy lithium batteries, DC-to-DC chargers, solar charge controllers, inverters and monitors, plus EcoFlow power stations and kits. These are not tied to a Sprinter generation, so they fit any build.
Building a Sprinter Power System
A house battery system has four parts: the battery, a way to charge it while driving, a way to charge it from solar, and a way to turn it into household power. You can buy them one by one or start with an all-in-one power station.
Batteries
Renogy 12-volt lithium iron phosphate batteries come in a 100Ah self-heating version and PRO 100Ah and 200Ah versions with Bluetooth and self-heating. Add the Renogy monitoring screen or the 500A battery monitor with shunt to see what's going in and out.
Charging and inverters
- Charging while driving: Renogy 40-amp DC-to-DC chargers (one with MPPT) and the REGO 60-amp DC-DC charger.
- Solar: Rover 40-amp and 60-amp MPPT charge controllers and the REGO 60A MPPT controller, plus MC4 connectors and branch connectors.
- Inverter: the Renogy 2000-watt 12-volt pure sine wave inverter.
All-in-one power stations
EcoFlow units skip most of the wiring: the RIVER 2 Pro, the 1 kWh DELTA 2 kit, the 2 kWh DELTA 2 MAX kit, the 3.6 kWh DELTA Pro kit and the 5 kVA Power Kit Gen 2.
Panels and mounts are in Sprinter solar power. For more charging from the engine, see the alternator kits in Sprinter engine parts.
FAQs
How big a battery do I need?
Add up what you'll run each day (fridge, fan, lights, devices) and size the battery to cover it with room to spare. Measure where it will go before you buy.
Power station or a custom system?
A power station is quicker to set up and easy to move. A custom system with separate batteries and chargers takes more planning but lets you choose each part.
Do you carry battery systems for other vans?
Yes. See Ford Transit battery systems and Ram ProMaster battery systems.
