Planning a ProMaster Water System

A van water system has four parts: a tank, a pump, a sink or shower, and a way to fill and drain it. Pick the tank first, since it decides where everything else goes.

Water tanks

NWConversions wheel well tanks tuck against the wheel arch to save floor space. The 28 gallon Promaster wheel well tanks, in center and right versions, are the ones named for this van. Other sizes (20, 22, 24, 33 and 36 gallon) and the 19 and 25 gallon dually tanks are listed here too, so check each product page for fitment before you order. Vanspeed's Universal 40 Gal Water Tank is another route.

Sinks, pumps and plumbing

The Tec Vanlife Space-Saving Camper Van Sink in black stainless steel with a hideaway faucet is our best seller here, with a replacement tap mixer and sink cover also available. Add the Tec Vanlife 12V Diaphragm Water Pump (3.5GPM), a tank level sensor and gauge combo, a 3 1/2 inch low profile drain and the Vanspeed City Water Fill Inlet. Van Wife Components makes a 24" sink base to hold it all.

Showers

Options run from a magnetic shower curtain and the Van Essential rear door shower screen to the Tetravan Folding Shower 2.1, the Amazing Auto collapsing aluminum shower room and 30" and 36" showers from Van Wife Components. The Tetravan stainless steel shower port system adds an outdoor rinse.
