Building the Roof of a ProMaster

The roof is shared space. A rack carries solar, boxes and an awning, and a ladder gets you up there. Pick the rack first, then make sure the ladder and accessories work with it.

  • Ladders: rear door and side ladders from Aluminess and SURCO for low or high roof vans, plus the Vantech H2.1 side ladder.
  • Roof racks: the Vantech H2.1 Ladder Roof Rack in low and high roof versions, Unaka Gear Co and Aluminess racks, and solar panel mounting brackets.
  • Awnings: Fiamma F45s parts and accessories, including crank handles, wall brackets and LED kits.
  • Cargo boxes & carriers: aluminum and carbon fiber boxes from Aluminess, Tec Vanlife, Sandy Vans and Rover Vans.

Which rack or ladder fits my ProMaster?

Match roof height first (low or high), then wheelbase (118", 136", 159" or 159" EXT) where the title calls it out, such as the Unaka rack for the 159" high roof. Unsure? Contact us with your year and VIN.

Can I mount solar on a ProMaster rack?

Yes. Racks are the usual base for solar, and we carry mounting brackets sold as a set of four.
