Choosing a Sprinter Rear Step

There are two main styles. A hitch step slides into your receiver and comes out when you need the hitch. A bolt-on step mounts to the rear of the van and stays put. Some, like the Aluminess Touring Rear Step Bumper, replace the bumper itself.

If you tow or run a hitch carrier, a bolt-on step keeps the receiver free. If you rarely use the hitch, a hitch step is the simplest install.
