Driver’s rear-wheel is just losing contact with the ground but backing up hill was not a problem, didn’t spin the tires once!

Tillamook State Forest
This was our first outing so we decided to keep the trail difficulty rather simple. The test took place in the Oregon Coast Range Tillamook State Forest. The 4wd Sprinter conversion performed without hesitation.

We came to a dead end and had a choice of backing out or turning around. This “little mud bog” is actually worse than it looks. Here is what an experienced off road driver had to say about turning around: “The thing that was very cool that you don’t know about, was how easy it was to turn the rig around in that little clearing. I did it as a three-point turn, and a pickup or even an SUV like a LC would have required four times as much back and forth. During the turn around, we never spun a wheel!” -Mike Hiscox.
