The second-generation nVader rack bolts to both rear doors of a Mercedes Sprinter and turns them into a mounting surface for the gear that has no room inside: a spare, bikes, fuel cans or a storage box. Flarespace redesigned it around a cast and extruded aluminum frame carrying nVader deck plates, and it keeps the same mounting system the first version used, so nVader accessories carry over. It is assembled in the USA.
What Comes in the nVader Gen 2 Kit
- Both door racks: the driver side and passenger side panels ship together as one kit.
- Hardware and rigidizer kit: everything that ties the racks to the doors and stiffens them under load.
- MB emblem: included with the kit.
- Accessories sold separately: tire bucket, storage box, bike mounts and the rest of the nVader add-ons are listed on their own.
Materials and Load Rating
- Van-body brackets in 12-gauge 304 stainless steel, so the parts touching the doors resist corrosion.
- Castings in A383 aluminum alloy; deck panels in 1/8" 5052 aluminum.
- Fasteners mix Grade 5, 304 stainless and Magni 577-coated steel to keep threads from galling over time.
- Tested to 100 lb on each side.
- The two racks weigh roughly 42 lb each.
Which Sprinter Does the Gen 2 Rack Fit?
Flarespace builds this rack for the 144" and 170" wheelbase Mercedes Sprinter. The rear door hinge setup matters on a door-mounted rack, so send us your model year and hinge type before ordering and we will confirm the fit. Pair it with the nVader storage box for closed storage on the back of the van.
