Installation Overview

1. Identify the vent location between ceiling ribs.

2. From inside the van, use a center punch to mark the location.

3. Locate the mark on the exterior roof.

4. Position the adapter, align it, and trace the 14″ × 14″ cutout.

5. Remove the adapter and cut the opening.

6. Prime the exposed metal to prevent corrosion.

7. Apply Sika 221 sealant between the roof and the adapter.

   • Apply additional sealant if the center rib section is flat.

8. Apply butyl tape between the adapter and the vent flange.

9. Finish with RV self-leveling sealant over:

   • The plastic vent flange

   • The vertical wall of the adapter
