Not everything worth carrying outside the van is liquid. The RotopaX Storage Pack is a 2 gallon pack shell with an opening lid, sized for the gear that tends to get buried inside: a tire plug kit, recovery straps, work gloves, a first-aid kit or a small tool roll.
Details
- 2 gallon pack size.
- Interlocking bottom pairs it with a Gen 1 RotopaX 2 gallon pack (gasoline, diesel, water or another storage pack) in the footprint of a 4 gallon pack. Gen 2 packs have flat bottoms and don't interlock.
- Black or orange. Orange is easy to spot, which suits a first-aid or recovery kit.
- Not waterproof or dustproof, per RotopaX, so bag anything that has to stay dry.
- BPA-free materials.
- 10-year warranty from RotopaX.
Mounting
One pack mount holds it: Standard, Deluxe or Locking. Pick one in the Mount option, or add one later from our RotopaX mounts listing. A Locking Pack Mount keeps the pack and what's in it on the van.
Standard, Deluxe or Locking?
- Standard Pack Mount: one T-handle that spins down to clamp the pack. The simplest, lowest-cost choice, and plenty for a pack that rides on pavement.
- Deluxe (DLX) Pack Mount: two arms that tighten separately, so the pack stays put on washboard and trail. RotopaX's best seller, and the one it recommends when you stack two packs.
- Locking (LOX) Pack Mount: the Deluxe two-arm design plus a lock cylinder and two keys, so the pack and what's in it stay on the van when you're away from it. Single packs only: it doesn't work with an extension.
All three bolt down on the same 4" disc base and fit every RotopaX pack.
Fits Any Van
RotopaX isn't vehicle specific. A pack goes anywhere you can bolt a mount to a flat, solid surface: a rear ladder, roof rack, spare tire carrier, rear-door storage panel or bumper. On a Sprinter, Transit or ProMaster the ladder or roof rack is the usual home, and Aluminess owners can use the BackPACK RotopaX mounting plate.
