Most rear door ladders mean new holes in your door. Surco's No-Drill avoids that: it bolts to mounting points Mercedes already put in the 2019 and newer Sprinter rear door, so you can reach a roof rack, solar panels or a roof fan without cutting into the sheet metal. A stainless backing plate fits on the inside of the door to carry the load.
Choose Your Roof Height
- Low Roof: four formed steps, sized for the standard-height van (Surco 26S19).
- High Roof: the taller version made for the high roof body (Surco 26SL19B).
- Black Powder Coat: a fine-texture black finish that goes well with black racks and trim.
How the No-Drill Ladder Is Built
- The frame is 1 1/4" stainless steel tube. Surco says stainless gives it roughly twice the tensile and shear strength of aluminum, and it won't corrode.
- Even with that strength, Surco says it weighs less than most aluminum ladders out there.
- Formed steps instead of round rungs give you a wide, flat place to stand, and holes along the ladder let you attach extra gear.
- The inside backing plate spreads the load across the door, so it doesn't flex while you climb or while the ladder is carrying gear.
- Made in the USA by Surco, with Surco's one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Surco says most owners finish the install in under an hour with ordinary hand tools.
Fits 2019 and Newer Sprinters
Built for the 2019+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (VS30) in 1500, 2500 or 3500 trim, on the 144", 170" or 170" extended wheelbase, with single or dual rear wheels and any of RWD, AWD or 4x4. Low and high roof vans take different ladders, so check your roof before ordering. The Surco VS30 rear door ladder is the drilled alternative, offered for either door in polished stainless or black.
